During our visit to the restaurant, everything was great, apart from one thing: the food wasn’t bad – I wouldn’t give it 5 out of 5, but it was a solid 3. The first thing we didn’t like was that we wanted to order chicken and pork tacos, but the waiter said they weren’t on the menu today. We ordered a different dish. Overall, I’d give the food 3 out of 5. But they don’t always have what’s on the menu.
Afterwards, we decided to order some cocktails after dinner, as the restaurant had won some sort of award for its cocktails a couple of years ago. We ordered two different cocktails, and the waiter told us that they didn’t have limoncello for one of them and wouldn’t be able to serve it to us. We chose another one. After that, we wanted to order another cocktail each, and as expected, after several attempts to make the cocktail, the waiter eventually came over and said she wouldn’t be able to serve us our cocktail. In the end, we asked for the bill. Having looked through the menu again, I can say that, of all the cocktails listed, they can make a maximum of four. My advice to the restaurant is either to reduce the cocktail menu or to find a good barman and position themselves as a cocktail restaurant.

Response from the owner

Hi Vlad,
Firstly, thank you for taking the time to write such a detailed review. We appreciate all feedback we receive. I’m surprised at your review of the food, as we pride ourselves on our high standards and creativity when it comes to our food. Granted, mistakes do happen and we will strive to do better. If you had mentioned your unhappiness with any dish when asked we would have been glad to alter them. We always insist on creating guests happiness before they leave, rather than getting a mediocre review later.
Secondly I apologise sincerely about the tacos not being on the menu, our pork belly that we use takes 16 hours to cook so unfortunately when it runs out it’s not a quick thing to replace. Which brings me to another point, our limoncello. We make this in house and it takes two weeks to infuse and ferment, so I apologise that it wasn’t available today. I’m unsure about your comment stating that we could only serve 4 cocktails though, we have an extensive list of classic cocktails (7 options) and signature cocktails (7 options) as well as spritz options (3 choices), so if the limoncello wasn’t available it still leaves you with 15 more choices to choose from. We also can create cocktails that are not on our menu, and do so frequently. Also for full transparency… although we would be glad to take credit for an award for our cocktails, we have not received one (yet!).
I’m sorry you feel you didn’t have a good experience but our food and our cocktails are all created

Absolutely delicious little restaurant. We called here at late notice and were very lucky to get a table. The food was incredible and the seevice equally so. Staff were super friendly and helpful. I had the fish and chips and it was just delicious. The triple cooked chips were so incredibly crunchy, crispy and soft inside. The fish batter was also amazing and perfectly cooked hake inside. Another party member had the monkfish curry and commented that it is one of the best things he's ever eaten in any restaurant. Highly recommend.

Response from the owner

Ciaran,
Thanks again for the amazing
feedback! We hope you can recreate our curry under our guidance! If not… you’ll have to come again!!!

I had a great experience at this restaurant! The food was tasty and full of flavor. The chowder was the best I've ever had—rich, creamy, and perfectly seasoned. You can really tell the chef knows what they're doing; everything was cooked to perfection. Highly recommend if you're looking for delicious food and great quality!

Response from the owner

Hi there! Thanks for your lovely review! Our chowder certainly is one of our star dishes and we’re glad you got to experience it! Hope to see you again some time
